Walter Posern was born in Graz (Austria) on 13 November 1944.
He graduated from the Brera art high school and subsequently attended the decoration course at the same academy.
Son of one of the masters of Isia, he worked in the ceramics and furniture sector until the end of the seventies.
In the 1980s he opened an industrial and interior design studio, collaborating with important companies.
In 1992 he founded Studio Dag Agency, a marketing and communications agency, and began to devote himself to his great aspiration: “ painting”.
pure divertissement
A deep lightness and a soft chromatic range create shapes in space in a harmonious and balanced way.
Subjects linked to the dreamlike but also to the wisdom of a perspectively resolved composition: castles, cities, fields, seas crossed by flotillas live in Walter Posern's canvases in terms of the pure and infinite "divertissement" of paper games.
Natural forms, symbols, sensations: everything translates into silhouettes that live a life of their own, rooted in the dimension of the "here and now" but also ready to live in a higher and more absolute dimension.
