the "milanese" is born younger

We never talk about politics. Not that we like it or don't concern us. It is that politics has the trouble of always being either too high or so low that even Alvaro Vitali's Pierino would be embarrassed.

Yet the case of politics that finds inconvenient (inadequate, unsuitable, unheard of, unsuitable... you decide) the name given to a car model, had never been heard.

This is what happened to the poor Alfa Romeo "Milan", guilty according to politicians of being produced in Poland and not in any plant in Italy. So, not knowing how to read or write, the Stellantis top management pilatesquely decided that the new Alfa would be called "Junior".

As we imagine the minister who raised the question knows well, iùnior "is the comparative of the Latin iuvĕnis, "young", and therefore means "younger". The new Alfa, incredible but true, was therefore already born younger. We don't really know who or what, but it doesn't matter.

What matters is that it makes brum-brum like real cars and knows how to give a lot of satisfaction to those who will be lucky enough to buy it. (In the meantime, Milan grappling with the traffic of the Salone as always shrugs and pulls forward)
